About Us

Supporting our local boating community with the highest quality service

Sydney Marine Refrigeration is a specialist company created to provide a much needed service to the boating community. With many years of experience, originally from a technical background in marine refrigeration, to a national sales and marketing role in the same industry, it was clear to owner, Jeff Green, that something was missing.

Our Business

The industry lacked enough suitably qualified technicians servicing the industry and supporting the boat owners of Sydney, and so Sydney Marine Refrigeration was born.

Service and after sales support is a priority for Sydney Marine Refrigeration, along with clear communication between the team and the clients. Sound advice is also paramount to ensure that the correct product is suggested to meet the demand, the usage and the location of the vessel. Our team can provide this essential advice by drawing on over 20 years’ experience from both sides of the industry.

Meet Jeff

After his role as Sales Manager for an international company in the marine refrigeration and air conditioning industry and over 20 years’ experience, Jeff turned to creating a company that would supply a quality product range, backed by exceptional advice and service.

‘I love the marine industry, working on some beautiful craft, the challenge of the project whether it is a new design and build or a repair or replacement job. I also really enjoy working with a vast number of marine businesses and other tradespeople that I have built a solid working and personal relationship over the years.’

Jeff is passionate about doing things properly, providing a great service, which means always returning phone calls, arriving on time and getting the job done right, the first time.

I had the pleasure of working with Sydney Marine Refrigeration and its owner recently. On December 26 Boxing day , I had my 39 Riviera all packed to head to Sydney Harbour and when I walked on board the fridge had stopped running and all my food was about to go off. I rang around and only Jeff answered his phone. Within half an hour Jeff arrived at the boat and found my fridge was dead. He said I will back in a minute and arrived with his own fridge , installed it in the boat in less than an hour and I was on my way to the harbour. This is what I call service, my holiday wasn’t ruined my food survived and my wife was happy. When we returned Sydney Marine refrigeration arranged for a new unit to be installed, with minimal fuss. I can highly recommend this company for prompt service and polite attitude and professional advice.

Alan - Riviera Owner, Cronulla

I wanted to install a custom fridge into my on going boat project, I looked everywhere to find anyone who could achieve this goal. I was given Sydney Marine Refrigeration number to ring and they turned up at the boat on time and provided some valuable advice. As with a marine project, costs can blow out, so I wanted to fabricate the box to save some money. Jeff steered me in the right direction, of who to buy certain materials from, how to go about the process. Once I had completed and installed the box onto the boat, Sydney Marine Refrigeration came back and installed the refrigeration equipment, set it up, showed me how to operate it. Very professional installation and it has never missed a beat. Sydney Marine refrigeration also suggested I should add solar to enable this system to run while I am off the boat, which I did and to his credit it works perfect, I now simply row out to the boat with fresh food only as all condiments and drinks are already on board and cold. Cant say how happy I am. Would I recommend this Company? Of course I would.

Scott Wilkinsen - Yowie Bay

Recently I wanted to install air conditioning into my 40’ power boat. I contacted Sydney Marine refrigeration for a quote. They arrived on time and listened to my requirements and plan for the boat in terms of usage and travel destinations. I needed to be very clear and precise about one of my pet hates and that’s noisy air conditioning, fan noise etc. They then performed a thorough inspection of the boat to locate the best installation options. They suggested a few options and we decided on placing the unit in the eyebrow. Jeff explained this would give me the best air flow for the entire boat with the least amount of ducting and installation time. He did something I had never heard before and used the return air path to cross ventilate hard to get to places. I need to tell you he was right the entire boat is evenly cooled, no noise and we can sleep in peace at a perfect temperature, under all conditions. Great company to deal with.
